Who cares? Didn't trojan fan whine about not being in the NC game in 2002 despite having two losses? This blind sense of entitlement is simply trojan fan being trojan fan. Californians don't refer to the place as the University of Spoiled Children without cause.

At the end of the day, if Ohio State wins on Monday, there will be no split championship. Period. Either way, both teams will get to go head-to-head next September in LA.

NEW ORLEANS | Winning ugly suits Southern California just fine.
The Trojans punted 10 times, didn?t score in the second half and still came away with a 21-18 victory over Ohio State in overtime of the Sugar Bowl in the championship game of The Star?s simulated playoff.

?I had a long conversation with Chiefs coach Herm Edwards before the game,? USC coach Pete Carroll said in an imaginary postgame news conference, ?and I saw the wisdom in playing it safe once we had the big lead.?

The Trojans led 15-3 at halftime, but in the second half they had seven three-and-outs, lost the ball on downs once, gained just 59 yards and had two first downs.

Is there a team that gets away with more showboating, fingerpointing, trash talking than USC? Reminds me of Miami in the Schnellenbarger (SP) era. Do they not call that shit in the PAC 10?

And just for the record, though I readily concede the quality of the talent and the coaching, I'd be much more impressed if USC had to win bowl games somewhere other than their home base.
