Urban is also 12 years younger I believe ? Give Urban those 12 years and I think he'll be damn close to how many titles satan has.BTW I have been cruising along in life believing that Saban is the best coach in College Football. It seemed unquestionable. And that UFM was likelynumber 2. But then I did some research and UFM has a better record and just needs a few more Natty to his resume to stay on top. (Notice what I did there)
Screw Saban
This whole thing has gone so far off the rails that I can't see how the whole truth is ever going to come out. And even if it does, who's going to know it or believe it? The "investigation" is already over, and yet little things seem to be appearing that dispute the findings. The media and all the OSU/Urban haters have already played judge and jury with only half the facts. So any truth that doesn't match their original story line will either be ignored or spun to maintain their slant. This is F'ed up!This is probably true, but the message from his attorney didn't say "any message removed from changing a setting is irrelevant due to not being required to have them.". It says that he straight up didn't delete or change any setting.
Im assuming that's code for "urban got lucky and the setting was already set for deleting after one year."
Here's what I found interesting from that article (with my emphasis added):
So basically, Urban was suspended not for covering up domestic violence (media), not for failing to report to compliance (report), but for creating "needless controversy" by "botching" the answer to a question at Big Ten media day. Sounds about right.Cleveland.com also e-mailed 20 OSU faculty members who serve as committee leaders on the Ohio State University Senate, asking for their reaction to the decision to suspend Meyer and Gene Smith. Three responded, with two declining comment and one offering this assessment.
"I think they got it about right, and I appreciate they did it quickly," the faculty member wrote. "The fact is, (Urban Meyer) and Gene did what they were supposed to do at the time. Whether he was prepared for the question (at Big Ten media day) or not, he should have been, and for the needless controversy he caused, some disciplinary action is in order. Likewise, Gene should have made sure Urban was prepared, so he is equally responsible for botching this."

You can "read" it however you want, but the staff member's words were pretty clear: Not a word about dishonesty or mismanagement or cost to the university.I read it as he was suspended for being dishonest and not properly managing his staff to such a degree that it cost the university several hundred thousand dollars and a huge public black eye. The important take away is that they felt they could have fired him if they wanted to but chose not to. He survived by the grace of Drake and the trustees. Urban should have recognized that and not been such a jackass at the press conference.

I consider it a colossal fuck up that he was not able to “no comment-that’s a personal matter between those people and that family“ that question when asked. Based upon what I think I know about the situation, I think this truly is the most egregious error although if he knew about other shenanigans, then he probably should have cut bait a while ago.You can "read" it however you want, but the staff member's words were pretty clear: Not a word about dishonesty or mismanagement or cost to the university.

That said, I suspect if he had answered as above, most of this story would have gone in a different direction and wouldn’t have cost Ohio state as much to look into nor the perceived black eye. I still don’t know how he wasn’t prepared to answer with something similar to the above.
