Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

One hour is perfect.

That was the beginning of the downfall of "Gameday" in my opinion.

Thought the old two hour show was fine. Became unwatchable when they went to three hours and brought Desmond, Pollack, and Sam Ponder in a few years ago.

Brent not being resigned and Fowler being promoted to the booth A team was also a big step back. Fowler was a better ringleader for the on-set circus with Rece in the studio for in game highlights and CFB Final.

They’ve Peter Principled their talent into irrelevancy.

Managing to find someone harder to listen to than Herbstriet and then pair them up was quite an accomplishment.

I don't know that I was able to get a sense of it from the video atop this page, necessarily, but to the extent that Urban might be in line to coach USC, as some think... does he want to get into football again, with a re-build, to have to fuck around with a completely new coaching landscape, as well?

Like he said above, how do you get some 18 year old kid with a $600,000 endorsement deal to go to class?

Can you think of a program that will be less affected by the endorsement/image thing than USC? Because I can only think of about 129 of them.

Simple; you won't be able to.

If that is what they end up altering the system to (some NCAA governance of the old model with players getting paid) then there is just no telling how bad it will get.

I’d like to see Urban and Jim Tressel do a show together that’s a variation of the “point\counterpoint“ format.

Urban: “We’ve got the defense aligned here in a 2nd mid Cover 3 wide chamber…”

Tress: “Well, that’s certainly true. You also need to remember that we truly love our group of guys. We brought them in here to learn and to grow and to become better men. And we see that happening out on the field as well as in the classroom. Now don’t get me wrong, we still have a long way to go, and our opponent is out there doing the same kind of stuff…”

Yeah even drunken, senile Musberger is better than Fowler. Also pissed they let Brad Nessler go breaking up Blackledge and Nessler. Very underrated pair imo.
