Reggie Bush says it ain't gonna happen.
(sorry for the link to Eisen's show however)
Reggie's just afraid that Urban would send his Heisman back.

Say Ryan Day is Lincoln Riley 2.0 and deep down really wants a NFL job. A team like the Cowboys comes calling and Day leaves for the job. Would there be any chance that Urban becomes head coach again? This was/is a massive nothing burger. Just an attempt by usc to get some airtime and relevance. Meyer's not going anywhere. He's done.

Just a little reminder of what UFM did to the B1G. Below is a graphic that was on a Colin Cowherd show in which he addressed how dominant Ohio State has been over the last decade (don't ask me why I was watching it), which shows Ohio State's regular season B1G record since 2009:

Note that Meyer's record in regular-season play is a mind-boggling 55-4 (including a 30-game win streak). Toss in his 3-1 record in the B1G CCG and he went 58-5 against B1G opponents. Ryan Day has some clownshoe-sized footwear to fill...

The arbitrary date of "10 years" also ignores Tressel's 29-3 record from '05-'08.
As much as I love Tressel--there's no bigger Tressel fan on this site than me--Tressel lost four conference games in 2004...Meyer lost four conference games (not counting the CCGs) in his career.72-11 (from graphic) + 29-3 (from @Dryden ) and you get a nice little 101-14 record against the B1G.
Takeaway the 3-5 transition year and it is 98-9.
I think these numbers look favorable, no?
Hey, I'm a huge JT fan myself, but you're dead on. I guess that someone should tell Day, "Dude, don't be too good." lAs much as I love Tressel--there's no bigger Tressel fan on this site than me--Tressel lost four conference games in 2004...Meyer lost four conference games (not counting the CCGs) in his career.

You never lose to those pricks. Ever. Ever. And you work it every day. And I don’t give a shit if you’re from California or Texas or whatever, as soon as you say you’re a Buckeye this is part of your life for the rest of your life - and you don’t lose to those pricks. You beat them every day. Every day.
This will always be a player’s program. What you guys did in that game, to put a beating on that team like they’ve never had a beating before in the history of that program - very good program, by the way - you notice how we talk about them, right? Is that a good program up there? Great program. Good players up there? Great players. Great coaches? Great coaches.
That’s the way you respect a rivalry. Then you outwork them and then you kick that ass like it’s never been kicked before. And that’s what you did.
