I never really believed in "fake news" but when my husband said he saw this on the front page of CNN, I had to see it for myself. When he read me the headline I said, that sounds like an opinion piece. However, the headline on the FRONT PAGE OF CNN was under "NEWS". I started writing this over 8 hours ago and due to the funeral coverage, it's no longer on the front page. But, this is the "News" piece I was talking about. UN-FUCKING BELIEVABLE:

Finally had some time to sit down.....

Man does this suck lol. And that's not a jab at Ryan Day or anyone....it just absolutely sucks when you lose arguably one of, if not THE, best coach in the game. Not just from an X's & O's standpoint, but everything else that Urban has done for the football program, the university, & especially the players. Buckeye fans have certainly been spoiled these last seven years & I'm forever grateful for Urban & the Meyer family.

My hope is that he slips in to some type of administrative role within the WHAC & continues to leave his mark on the program & The Ohio State University. Here's hoping he's somehow able to take some time off, get healthy, and return as the OSU coach some day lol. That's likely wishful thinking, but we can dream lol. Ultimately, I hope he gets healthy & is able to enjoy life with his family.

I'm going to remove the link. It was HARD TO FIND (good!). My husband said it must have gotten some major backlash because that thing was BURIED when I looked for it and he said it was super easy to find this morning (as in big picture first thing you see on the sports part).

He just laughed and said, "lol you don't do that to someone like that. He has the power to kill you with a single stare"


EDIT: HAHAHA....Now CNN just has an article that says "Urban Meyer retires"

I'm guessing they got killed on every social media platform. BTW- I did leave a comment (didn't bother to read anything but the headline) along with the hundreds of others.

I won't mention the name of these hacks. They will hate Ryan Day soon enough as well, just as soon as he tells them he is not going to give them special access or pretend that they know what they are writing about. They are both hacks, only able to write about trivial issues around the game but not add value through insights. They're the barber who argued with your father when you were a kid with the exception that the barber was still someone you respected.

They are hacks. So, what is a hack?

Dictionary.com: noun. a person, as an artist or writer, who exploits, for money, his or her creative ability or training in the production of dull, unimaginative, and trite work; one who produces banal and mediocre work in the hope of gaining commercial success in the arts.

Wkipedia: In a fiction-writing a hack writer is paid to quickly write sensational, "pulp" fiction such as "true crime" novels or "bodice ripping" paperbacks. In journalism, a hackwriter is deemed to operate as a "mercenary" or "pen for hire", expressing their client's political opinions in pamphlets or newspaper articles.

They are low-life hacks and they will end up where hacks always end up, in the gutter.

On the other hand, Urban Meyer is a class act. He will end up looking out his living room window at a beach or body of water, basking in the sun with his grandchildren.
