Uniforms (Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, etc....)

You think they're 100% never going to get black unis?
No, but they seem to be footing the bill just fine without any noticeable changes to their uniforms. Their "alternate" was an american flag on the side of the shoulder and a barely visible pattern on the white numbers.

Max's argument is silly. They're doing it because Nike likes to make money and OSU is in bed with them. It has very little to do with Urban Meyer. If they were really that obsessed with money, they would accept one of Adidas' outrageous deals and wear much worse alternates.

I don't hate these alternates, I just think they could have been much better and far more OSU centric.

I doubt his argument is "We have to do this so we can afford to pay Urban". It's just one of the many reasons we can afford to pay somebody 6 million dollars.

And the predictable disingenuous reply.

We both know that at no point in your life have you ever referred to Ohio State's colors as anything but Scarlet & Gray until it recently became important to win a semantics battle.

The University link you provided itself points out that Scarlet & Gray are the colors by which Ohio State is known and that the others are there only to enhance the same.

You already know the answer & playing dumb doesn't help your case. It's a historical anomaly forced on all schools due to the demands of television.

Probably when boosters stop paying for Saban's home, buying recruits for the team, and donating more to athletics than most probably donate to academics (I'm only being slightly sarcastic on the last point, as I have no clue how their donations on the academic side compare to the OSU donations from folks like Wexner, but if I had to guess...).

No you're dead on. One of the side convos Bama fans before Sugar touched on their terrible participation in alum association and academic donations - the Bammers were proud of the fact that everyone donates solely to athletics.
