It would be much worse if this wasn't what their state flag looked like:

It's about time they wore a school color in their uniform.

Only if you count the numeral. The wing feathers on both the jersey and helmet aren't. Maybe they were using gray/silver before the 2010 Rose Bowl, but it sure seems that ever since we beat them they've be using a lot of grey/silver in their uniforms...

I am counting it. Everything else is up to Nike. I hate it when schools do this, it says "F tradition" and is a slap in the face to all who proudly wore those colors in the name of that school. Chrome and glow stick yellow are not school colors, and should not be worn. Period.

What Nike could've done to this particular uniform was make the feathers yellow and their immediate background green (or vice versa) for the jersey, and make the helmet green with yellow wings (or again, vice versa). That way the uniform would still look slick while actually incorporating school colors and looking like a true Oregon uniform.

We are talking about Oregon. Was there a tradition before NIKE? We're talking about a team that has been to 25 bowl games since 1917. They are 10-15 in bowls.

Is it possible that Phil Knight actually hates college football and is just trolling us all?

Oregon is actually going to wear a normal uniform, and it's pretty nice.

It seems that schools are too dim to realize exactly what is going on. They are allowing their product identity to be superseded by that of Nike. It's tantamount to Ford, Honda & Volkwagon deciding that...

College kids like Red Bull ergo turning all of their vehicles into mobile billboards for Red Bull is a great idea.

It is an unprecedented marketing success for Nike....and an equally unprecedented marketing failure for the Universities.
