I'm a big fan of these. Not for a traditional powerhouse, but for a school like Boise State, I think they're just about perfect. Not a fan of the orange plating with Broncos written on it on the back of the homes, but other than that I think these are a massive improvement over a design that was sorely outdated:

It appears that Florence Griffith-Joyner isn't really dead. She's a tailback for the Beavs.

I can't believe people look at some of these new jerseys and say, "wow, that looks great!"
I love the classic and plain uniforms.
My favorite uniforms are
1. Michigan... classy, winged helmets, i could go on all day...
2. Notre Dame... love the way the gold helmets look in person and i like the plain look
3. tOSU (dare i say i like your jerseys)
4. Penn State... I think they are very under-rated when it comes to jersey discussions
5. Texas or Auburn... I like their colors and designs on their helmets.

Traditional uniforms are great for a traditional program, in fact I favor them. But Boise State's program fits more in the ones they've just changed to than something plain and classic.

I called Nike today to ask them if our jersey for this year would change to the same style as the Pro Combat uniforms....I was going to purchase an Authentic and didn?t want to find out that our jersey?s were changing to the Pro Combat style that we saw at the end of last year... Not thinking it would look different, but that the stitching on the shoulders would appear in our normal jersey along with a material change and the way it was ?fit?.

The gentleman I spoke with put me on hold and said that there are no jersey changes scheduled to be released for Ohio State under the Pro Combat line until November 19th of 2010.

So it doesn?t appear that Nike is using the Pro Combat jersey?s for our ?normal? uniform, which I though was odd ? I thought the point of the program was to show off the new technology ? but you?re not going to use it??I wasn?t hoping for a ?scheme? change, but just adapting the Pro Combat style.

But what we will see something special for Michigan again at the end of the year. November 19th puts Nike on a similar schedule to what they had last year for their ?Throwbacks? or Special uniforms under the Pro Combat name and it does appear that we are going to see a similar marketing campaign this year.

Just thought I'd share...
