Penn State loses Sukay for season

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State free safety Nick Sukay will miss the rest of the season after suffering a complete tear of his pectoral muscle Saturday against Illinois, a source said today.

Sukay, a redshirt junior from Greensburg Central Catholic, was injured on the opening kickoff. He continued to try to play before eventually retiring to the sideline.

Sukay, who had started 19 games the past two years, had 29 tackles this season, a team-high three interceptions, three passes broken up and a forced fumble.

Sukay was scheduled to have surgery today.

Too bad about Sukay...he is a heck of a player.

I think JoePa may be on his way to a Bowden-esque type end. That program is currently circling the drain and they have a grand total of four...yes four, commits right now. They've delayed it long enough, if they want any chance at avoiding a catastrophic drop off, they need to start planning for the future right now, and JoePa cannot be a part of it.
