Wow...two crazy decisions tonight. Cruz may have won but some of the scores were ridiculous.

Wow.

The judge who scored the fight 50-45 for Cruz should have their judge card revoked. Thought it was probably 3 rounds to 2 Cruz, but Faber planted Cruz on his ass with punches in 3 separate rounds. If it were boxing, those would be 10-8 rounds for Faber. And Cruz looked like he was in a fight, while Faber looked like he was untouched. I don't understand it when judges reward fighters for takedowns in which the opponent gets up immediately, doesn't get punched once while on the ground, or both. Nothing happened.

Having said that, why do you think the other decision was crazy? My friend and I watched the fights at a noisy sportsbar, or in other words without the influence of audio, and thought Siver won rounds 1 and 3 handily. Siver definitely lost the 2nd round, but the massive cut on his head came from a glancing blow and he was never hurt. Siver got taken down a couple of times, but did a lot of damage while his opponent was setting up the takedowns, and with the exception of round 2, got up pretty quickly on any takedowns. We both scored it exactly as all 3 judges did.

Also, wanted to add that Bader's loss was a devastatingly bad one. He looked tentative, and like he had never been in a fight before in the sequence where everything went bad. It's one thing to lose to a well-rounded freak like Jon Jones, but to lose to a guy who hasn't won since 2006? Yeesh, he just took a big step in the wrong direction.
