Yep..I admire his strong work ethic and "never quit" attitude,but the past few fights have just been entirely backwards. His next fight will be interesting,whoever the opponent might be.

Silva doesn't like to fight his friends, Machida is a close friend of his, so Silva won't take the fight.

After tonight, the reality is that Silva can flat out embarrass someone if he wants to. I love Forrest, him and Silva are my favorites, one for just how quick and technical he is, the other because he's a blue collar fighter. Tonight showed me one thing, if Silva is actually focused, he's nothing short of a monster. I won't compare him to Fedor, but I will say both are fucking amazing fighters.

Silva can't drop that much weight, and if GSP came up to 185 he would be a huge disadvantage. GSP talked about wanting that fight, but we'll see if he's still talking about it after tonight. I think a lot of people who said they wanted a piece of AS are going to rethink that.

Everyones debate on Silva, he's bigger than his opponents and if he fought anyone real in LHW he would lose, well we can discount that.

He is afraid to fight a real opponent, well Hendo and now Griffin, I think we can toss that one too.

Let's put this into perspective, BJ Penn is a bad ass, but coming up in weight he was just a fucking ragdoll for GSP to toss around, I would be willing to bet real money that if GSP came up to fight AS you'd see similiar results.

Yup. The only difference is Silva wouldn't need to throw throw GSP around to beat him.

GSP and Silva actually doesn't need a catch weight the more I research. GSP stated late in 2007 that his natural weight is around 185. So really there isn't much stopping this fight but probably money.

I would never be able to be as big as, for example, Chuck Liddell because first I don't want to take steroids and stuff like that. I'm always natural and I hate like ...I know a lot of people use that, but me I'm not that kind of guy. I prefer to stay healthy all my life than having a title. You know what I'm saying because nothing can buy health. So I will find a way to do it and I'm up to the challenge.

I didn't see the fight but I figured Spider would beat him. Spider is just much more skilled than Forrest. I do believe that there are some 205'ers that will beat him though. Forrest is a hard nosed, tough fighter and he usually wins because of it. His striking is pretty unimpressive though and he isn't good on the ground. He'll be around for a while but I'm skeptical that he'll win another title. Spider on the other hand is going to be hard to stop for anybody. Machida vs Spider would be a good one.

There's a few 205's that would probably take him down, Machida and Silva won't fight. Neither one would take that fight and both are in a position where Dana couldn't force it.

Let's forget about Machida, and look the other top ranked LHW's.

2. Quinton Jackson (30-7)
I think he would do better than Forrest, but I still think Silva could win this one.

3. Rashad Evans (13-1-1)
I think Rashad could take out the Spider

4. Forrest Griffin (16-5)
No need to discuss.

5. Mauricio Rua (18-3)
Maybe? Shogun is a good fighter, but I feel that he's not fast enough.

6. Luis Arthur Cane (10-1)
This would be one of the more interesting matchups, personally, I think it could go either way.

7. Rich Franklin (25-4, 1 NC)
Heh, we'll go ahead and say that Rich has gotta be bummed that Silva is fighting at 205.

8. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (17-3)
Nog is fighting in HW now, but if he dropped down he would be the worst possible matchup for AS, a strong ground game and a guy who you think you've beat that isn't done yet.

9. Keith Jardine (14-5-1)
No way I see him matching up with Silva's speed.

10. Wanderlei Silva (32-10-1, 1 NC)
I love Wanderlei, and about 5 years ago I would have given him the nod, now though, I think the speed difference would be his downfall.

So out of the top 10 I could see him taking 6 down, and who knows, a focused Silva might be able to do more damage than I give him credit for.

As for the talk of GSP/AS, GSP normally sits at 185, he drops weight for the fights, a lot of weight, same goes for Silva, I still think AS just mames him, but who knows, we may see pretty soon, assuming GSP is going to continue barking to Dana for a chance at the 185 belt.
