UFC 100: Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir

I'm going to be ready to see this. They have been pimping the fight hard this week. Lots of pre-fight talk,and lesnar punching a wall. They both have been selling the fight very well.

I'm curious to see if we will see a more patient Lesnar. Probably will either see Mir's head end up somewhere in the audience or Lesnar tapping again. Mir looked really good at weigh in's today.

Lesnar dominated him. All the shit talk before the fight from Mir,but that changed quickly after the fight.

He doesn't have to be nice. He's getting paid to kick ass,and he's doing that. The sherdog crowd is quickly downing booze to forget about this night. -"save us fedor"-"classic" armchair fighters all across the world

That was pretty funny. The thing that bothered me about that whole post-fight situation is it all seemed a little too WWEish. I half expected Steve Austin to come running down to the ring with a chair.:shake: But, what can you expect from someone as unprofessional as Lesnar?

I agree here, on the other hand, I thought the flipping off the crowd thing and his post game adrenaline was a little over the top. That being said, Mir talked a LOT OF SHIT up to this point, basically calling Lesnar a fraud and well, when you do that you better be prepared to back it up, and against brock it's tough to back it up. Just too big, too fast, too strong.

Flipping off the crowd was definitely too much. At this point he can do pretty much what he wants to do..Sure Dana can "calm him down",but honestly Brock is going to make them a lot of money. That's all that matter to White,and i'm sure Brock knows it. He's the best heel the UFC has ever had,already.

Mir and Herring both talked so much much shit. I highly doubt Mir every wants anymore of what he got last night. He was knocked silly by short strikes on the ground. Notice Lesnar didn't show his ass when he fought Randy. Everyone likes to see lesnar pissed until he retaliates.

Lesnar is a beast and a fantastic fighter. However, arrogance does not look good on anyone. For me, it is a shame when someone so talented can also be so classless and arrogant.

I'll take Fedor in the ring and out of the ring, any day of the week.

I agree on all accounts here, Brock is a huge draw, he's something that will bring new fans in and no one is really indifferent about him, people either love him or hate him. I thought it was classless of him to flip off the crowds, but I thought it was extremely classless of the fans to boo him. He went out, did his job and won, he acted like he was still in the WWE but the fans also acted like a WWE crowd.

That bit, well, I am sure Dana will get that under control, the last thing he wants is his fighters pissing off the fan base, but otherwise, what can he say? He brought Lesnar in, he gave him the title shot, and Brock did the rest. He learned from his first mistake, he took Mir down and didn't let him scramble out of it. He just held him down and beat the shit out of him.

Scary thought is that he's going to get better, right now his game is still pretty one dimensional, he's a solid striker but his ground game is really just an extension of his striking. When he actually starts getting some real martial arts under his belt he's going to be a monster.

I'll take Fedor in the ring and out of the ring, any day of the week.

While I agree that Fedor would best Lesnar, I saw this one coming a mile away.
