Klaas-Jan Huntelaar had just the goalie to beat, and he blew it! Still looks a lot better than what Van Persie's done. IMO, Huntelaar AND Van der Vaart should have started. Fuck all that super defensive non-sense they tried starting with. Especially with starting De Jong, didn't he have a falling out with the manager or something like that recently?

All credit to Denmark, they have played amazing defense and been more threatening on a number of their chances. Robben has had so many chances and flubbed a good number of them.

That lob pass to Huntelaar from Sneijder was pure class, aside from that, I agree. There have been some really nice passes to get players in space, but I'm not seeing good final passes, and the finishing just isn't there today. They'd better come out on Wednesday with a chip on their shoulders or they're going home early.

Here's to hoping the lineup is a bit better for the match against Germany. Huntelaar should have started, Affellay should have been coming off the bench. Hell, I'd rather see Dirk Kuyt playing out of position than see Affellay starting.

Looking forward to seeing Hummels in the starting XI for Germany. Same for Coentrao for Portugal.



Also good to see Gotze on the roster for the German team. For whatever reason, I was under the impression he was left off due to injury or something. Would like to see him be one of the first subs after the half, preferably for Muller. :lol:
