UCONN Women - best ever?

I like how eSPIN keeps throwing this stuff at us like anyone outside of UCONN's fanbase gives a damn, continually hypes up the 90 in a row, but then their overnight failures on the radio (I get to listen to them on the way home) try to tell everyone to "not compare" the records of UCLA and UCONN.

Well that's all well and good, but with eSPIN hyping them up as if this is something other than a record in women's basketball, it looks disingenuous to me to say that. Oh wait, it's eSPIN....nevermind about that.

Not trying to diminish the awesome feat of UConn women, but could you ever imagine Espin committing any journalistic bravado to the ongoing streak of tOSU men's tennis?

OSU Tennis Guide 2011

Along with winning their fifth-consecutive Big Ten regular-season and tournament crowns, the team improved its remarkable home win streak to 110 consecutive wins, dating back to 2003.
With 10 members on the squad returning in 2011, it is safe to say the Scarlet and Gray will be a force not only in conference play, but also on the national stage.

With about 6 minutes left in the UCONN game last night, I tried flipping over to watch this "historic upset in the making." I literally made it through one up and down trip before I had to change it. I don't see how anybody could watch this. I'm positive every one of those ladies could kick my ass in one on one, there's no denying they are all talented, but jeezus, women's basket ball is BORING AS SHIT

You weren't convinced when ESPN preempted a bunch of mens basketball games a couple months back to show us the waning minutes of UConn/Baylor, which featured something like two turnovers and three airballs in the final two minutes?
