UConn +3.5 at TSUN (ov/un 54.5) Sat 3:30 ET ABC/ESPN2

I'm on my bb and didn't have a chance to watch any of the game today, but at what point did Tater Tot realize that he will no longer be playing qb at scum? I would love to have seen the look on his face (and the jazz hands).

Denard went down for a little bit in the second half and the cameras showed Gardner warming up, and then showed Transfer Tot walking away from the sideline to the bench, head down and unbuckling his chin strap. It was a quick shot, but it said all you need to know.

Congrats to zwem and wolverenemike. tsun looked a lot better than I thought they would, even on defense. DR is passing much better this year, but he will not make it through the year with 25+ carries a game, at least the odds are against him.

My wife said Denard looks kind of like Desmond Howard, in the face.

...and afterward he was shown several times sitting alone on the scUM bench with a towel over his head very obviously pouting. I'm sure the coaches will have words with him when they see this followed quickly by a forceitin.com "press release". Even the announcers were commenting on it and what poor form it was.

Anyone been over to the scUM boards yet? I can just imagine the "ZOMG!!!Shoelaces is better than Pryor!!111!!!" shit beign spewed...

Denard looked better in his first game than Pryor did. Man I'm so excited to see this kid play the next 3 years. Oh baby!

that's the closest I've seen so far on Stadium and Main. I'll keep looking though.

I'm also glad Rich Rod stuck with 1 QB instead of rotating 2-3 of them in there. Pick a guy and stick with him. I hope Tate doesn't transfer because we might need him if Shoelace goes down this year.

Priceless moment was when RR was screaming at Shaw when he had like a 7 yard loss. Football is suppose to be fun coach. Guys make mistakes. All game long he looked like he was going to assassinate somebody.

Let's see here....just to blow up their little love fest...

Denard played in the first game LAST year against W Michigan.

He was 2/4 passing and had 11 carries for 74 yards.

In TP's first game, he was 4 for 6 passing for 35 yards and had 9 carries for 52 yards and a TD (which, BTW, was all of his creation if I am remembering correctly)

I'd say it's a wash (at best). If anything the advantage may go to TP because he didn't have Beanie to hand off too since that's the game Beanie had the turf toe issue. Michigan fans don't even want to go to "first start" stats, TP has a clear advantage there.

Pryor's first start was against Troy, Sep 20, 2008:

10-16-1, 139 yards, 4 TDs, 205.5 rating. 14 rushes for 66 yards (4.7 ypc).

Shoelaces:

19-22-0, 186 yards, 1 TD (rating?). 29 rushes for 197 yards (6.8 ypc).

Keep in mind that Pryor started as a true freshman in his fourth game on campus. Shoelaces had a full season under his belt before his first start, and his season stats were: 14-31-4, 188 yards, 2 TDs.
