UCLA +24.5 at Oregon (ov/un 61.5) Thur 9 ET, ESPN

Agreed. Can't wait to see Oregon face a real defense. Even though USC is down, that game has potential next week.

Yeah I hate USC, but they are one of our best friends next week (and we have several).

And we already know what happens when Oregon faces a real defense. See: Rose Bowl last year. :oh:

Please tell you don't think USC has a real defense.

I think he meant the two points as separate entities:

He can't wait for Oregon to play a real defense

He thinks the USC game will be interesting

But either way, USC's D is better than this UCLA squad of scrubs.

That's kind of what I figured. I think it could be a high scoring game.

That game really showed what a worthless stat time of possession is. At halftime, UCLA had 19:58, and Oregon had 10:02.

UCLA had the ball almost twice as long, and were completely blown out.

Networks, please just show #of plays and yards gained.

hmmmm
Not sure I agree with this 100% - I'm sure most teams would LOVE to win the TOP battle each week.

Of course, if you turn the ball over or fail to generate take-aways....it doesn't matter much.

I'm not saying TOP isn't good - I'm saying that the number of plays is what really matters, and that's what they should be using.

Don't care if Oregon runs up the score. It's a conference game and if they are willing to accept the fact that someday it'll be the other way around and UCLA will hang 60 on them, do what you gotta do...

In three PAC Ten games UCLA has been outscored 130-20, and that win over Texas doesn't look as impressive after Iowa State just did the same thing.

Perhaps the Bruins just suck?

I'm having trouble with this post in this thread.

So, blow is a figure of speech?
