Kicking a field goal = points

Going for it on 4th down = giving them a chance to stop you

OK, so they THREW the ball all the way down the field just to get into field goal range and *not score*

Bullshit.

Fuck this coach, he's a douche. I love Tressell and when he retires, I hope he is cloned and his clone is named the new OSU head coach.

I recall the Buckeyes throwing the ball on 4th down last year in a blowout. I can't remember which game.

I also remember us having Jordan Hall throw a TD pass to Pryor in the EMU game when the game was way out of hand, maybe more out of hand than this game.

How is it any worse than ball control offenses? Is that admitting your defense can't go toe-to-toe with the opposing offense?

Good point... I know it's the "wave of the future"; it just seems a lot different than what I grew up with.

Would love to see a Wisconsin/Oregon game- Ducks get the kickoff and score in three seconds. Badgers drive for the rest of the half, and score at the gun. Badgers get the second half kickoff, drive all second half, and win 14-7.

:)

EMU was different. They are from Michigan. And we don't give a damn for that entire state. Plus, honestly, when was the last time you seen Tress run up the score like that?

Northwestern '08. :tongue2:

I'm just giving you shit. But the 4th down strategy is used by many coaches. I know what you're saying, it can "backfire" if you end up scoring a TD. The FG would look better at that point.

Yeah I can see that.

My main problem, which set me off I guess was all of these trick plays and 4th down conversion attempts and laterals and long balls when they were already dominating.

Or maybe it was those terribly bright jerseys that set me off, one of the two.

Yeah...as I mentioned, really as a JOKE, but may come to fruition...
UO may have the Ov/Un by themselves...

Game's gotten boring, and I REALLY couldn't get THIS off my mind:
