  • One potential weakness I saw was the QB who has decent accuracy but none of the ability we saw from the Miami kid to keep plays alive.
  • He seems to be rattled by pressure and there was a surprising amount of it from the Zips when UCF did throw.
  • He is somewhat mobile but by no means a dual threat QB.

If their QB is easily rattled and is not as mobile as Zac Dysert they are is for a world of hurt. You know Meyer was not happy with the pass rush in the first half and he is going to light a bonfire under the asses of the starting DL...

Would like it better if the stadium was either all Scarlet (since its a home game), or just split the stadium in half in terms of color (half scarlet half grey).

I like the idea of coloring the stadium, I dont like the idea of sectioning it though.

The reason why he was rattled was because it was his first career start as QB #1. Last year Godfrey was the starter then Bortles would come on in 2nd and 3rd the last 3 games. He is only a soph with only 3 games under belt, so of course he'd be rattled.

Well, there's a lot more things that he's about to see for the first time this weekend. If he got wide-eyed against Akron just because it was his first game, he had better buckle up for game two.

What's funny is the rush was really on it's way. Several times someone had a clean run at the QB, or was past a defender in just one quick move. That 3 step drop and a quick release just seemed to negate it. If anything they needed to get their hands up a bit quicker. And while I'm sure UFM might be a little fiery, I'm sure coach Vrabel will be all kinds of "colorful" this week. I wouldn't want to be lined up across from Simon after the frustration he had against Miami.

Watched the game on ESPN...anyone can go watch it.

Akron dropped no less than 10 passes and 4-5 would have been 1st downs. Akron also got screwed on 3 PI that were not called and 1 of them was in the endzone. Cost them points.

UCF is one dimensional on offense and has a shitty secondary. Williams the QB from Akron is a 1st year starter that transfered from Stephen F. Austin. He shredded the UCF secondary even with the drops. Also Akrons RB is awful.

The Akron DL reminds me of swiss cheese.

IMO with their secondary being as bad as it is...Miami would give UCF one hell of a fight. I actually think we match up better against UCF because they are a running team.

I think Miami would beat Akron by at least 28

That may be but Miami also could've been closer to us as well had it not be for just as many drops.
