One Orlando bar has a way to ease the suffering of UCF fans: Beer. So many beers.

The Basement in Orlando is offering free beers during UCF games until the Knights, who are 0-4, win a game. I didn’t think they were serious at first, but then they said: “Seriously.”

Here's a horrible way to motivate your fanbase -- University of Central Florida's football team is winless, and if the streak continues its fans will enjoy FREE BEER!!

A sports bar near the UCF campus called The Basement Orlando is offering free brews during UCF's game this weekend against Tulane. The team is currently 0-4, and the bar's marketing honcho Jake Whitcare says they thought this would boost fan morale.

Whitcare tells us, they'll be serving up domestic kegs totally gratis until the UCF Knights win a game. He says they're in this for the long haul -- as in 0-12, if it comes to that.

Here's the thing ... we have no doubt the giveaway will boost morale TO DRINK! We're just not sure how it encourages fans to cheer for a win.

Which begs the question: If your team was 0-4 and you got free beer as long as they lose, would you be rooting for the other team?

George O'Leary resigned from the AD position a few weeks ago, and today resigned from coaching the football team too.

That makes seven jobs open before November: Illinois, Maryland, North Texas, Southern Cal, South Carolina, Central Florida, and Miami. Coaching carousel is going to be silly this year.

Last call! Orlando bar gave out 15,000 free beers during UCF’s 0-12 season

It was a long season for fans of the UCF Knights, but at least one bar may have been the biggest loser of all. Orlando bar The Basement committed to giving away free beer during UCF football games after starting the season with four losses. The free beer promotion would continue until the Knights won a game, which of course never happened. USF demolished UCF on Thanksgiving night to bring an end to a dreadful 0-12 season in Orlando. So, what was the final tab?

An estimated total of 15,000 free beers were given away to patrons during UCF games this season, and the promotion is expected to continue into the 2016 season.
