A few quick thoughts:
  • That ref was freaking awful. Game was completely out of control and he did a terrible job.
  • I don't understand why they play Zardes as a LW when he can't hit the ball with left foot to cross it in... although that one cutback pass to middle was excellent.
  • Thought Timmy Chandler was really poor all game.
  • Thought Alvarado was also poor, couldn't understand how they kept getting behind us.
Got the 3 points despite not looking sharp so hopefully we improve.

That was terrible. Altidore and Beckerman were poor. The backline was comprised of three tomato cans and a RW playing LB. Zardes was miscast as the LW, so with two players playing out of position on that side it got abused all night. Ventura Alvarado was particularly terrible. That was zero fucks given transfer request defending on that goal.

Zardes should be playing up top in place of Altidore. I'm tired of Altidore being a passenger. It's not like he does things to help the team when he's not scoring. Put him on the bench and make him bust the door down to get the spot back.

Hey now, let's not be insulting tomato cans. :lol: Beckerman is one of my favorite players (I like defensive midfielders, I am boring as fuck :lol:) but he was also bad. The defense reminded me of early 90s level of awful.
