U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

It didn't look like he was out jumped - it looked like he jumped late. Hopefully that's something that comes back to his game over these next couple friendlies.
Yeah, he's getting ripped right now.

I only posted that because it was obviously his fault. However, that looked more like a timing issue, which can come back with PT. Plus, the guy had his arm all over his back. Whatever.

I think that was a decent half. It's a friendly, so I'm not going to go crazy. Plus, it's sloppy out there on a tight pitch.

Like: Edu, Torres, Buddle (someone's hungry), Beas, Dolo, Goodson
Meh: Holden (could be more involved), Guzan, Johnson
Dislike: Bornstein (boo!), Onyewu (got beat, not the end of the world).

Beautiful put back header across by Goodson.

So is Gooch making the final roster?
I would have thought, for sure before tonight, now I don't know.

I'll still say YES. But it is interesting that Edu dropped back to center back as Onyewu came back. Edu has some experience at center back...and we have some great talent in the central midfield, even without Edu.

I think the 7 cut from the 30, at this point are: Rogers, Klestjan, Pearce, Johnson, Findley, Marshall, and...Bedoya.

Though, Gooch is looking more and more worrisome. :(
