Aside from the shots that went off the post in the first half, that was horrendous. US has got to get better with their movement off the ball. Jermaine Jones gets the ball near midfield and not one attacking mid is moving around looking for the ball. Perhaps they packed it in a bit towards the end of the 1st half, but they did not look good in the first.

Zusi did put one off the crossbar early on but I never heard of the fucking guy, either. I think they said he plays for KC in MLS.

Jones is playing with his back to the goal constantly passing backwards. It's a miracle he's not turning the ball over every time he touches it like he did against Mexico. Cherundolo has been just as disappointing, simply because he might be the worst crosser in the history of the game. He's consistently getting into those deep spaces down the right side, yet his crosses either go out of bounds over the goal, or they end up outside of the box not even remotely close to anyone.

Actually thought Zusi's one of the few players who is doing anything at all tonight. Dempsey's playing really poorly, I hope Jermaine Jones never sees another game in a US uniform, and no one is moving at all.

And as I said that, Herculez Gomez puts a free kick in. 1-0 US.

Of late, I kept looking at the Crew Stadium scoreboard and wondered what Ohio Stadium's old scoreboard would look like there (since OSU just replaced it).
