U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

I see what you're saying, but I just don't like Jermaine Jones in an attacking position. He's not great on the ball, and he'd be better with the one touches in the defensive midfield than out on the right side (where we need speed).

Oh, I could probably do a Green Eggs and Ham rhyme about all the things I do not like about Jermaine Jones, but, "Juergen I am" messes up the meter.

Anyone know/hear anything when the tickets go on sale for the US match in Crew Stadium Sept 11th?

Obviously not on sale now, but I looked at two past press releases from U.S. Soccer (for past games) and those tickets both went onsale a little under two months prior to those two games.

So at the least, early July for the September game at Crew Stadium.

I actually look forward to freezing at a future Mexico game (in Crew Stadium). Knock on wood that games happens.

That's what I was looking for, thanks!

Anyone know how much seats will be? Or what they've been in the past?

It was $22 for the Antigua qualifier in Tampa a month ago. It won't be that cheap this time.

In terms of qualifiers at Crew Stadium, last Mexico qualifier (prior to 2010 WC), I think I paid about $50 to sit in the corner.

The future Mexico qualifier at Crew Stadium might have a better atmosphere, if you have to choose.

I was thinking between 30-40 a seat. That's not bad at all. I just want to go to a US game. Never been before, but I have been to Crew games

As for the future Mexico qualifier, may have to go to that as well

For those trying to go to the qualifier at Crew Stadium, we should try and meet up before the game.

I was thinking something of the same. BuckNut should fly up so we can harass him

On second thought, idk if I want you guys meeting my wife

The women are playing their final pre-Olympic tune up versus Canada today. USA up 1-0 after an early own goal on a cross by Rapinoe.

I didn't realize anyone was questioning Megan Rapinoe's sexuality (and I thought it was common knowledge she was gay).

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2012/07/us-womens-soccer-player-im-gay/1

U.S. women's soccer standout Megan Rapinoe told Out Magazine this week that she is gay, less than a month away from the London Games.

Tell you the truth, it really seems like USA TODAY is turning towards the gossip/TMZ side of sports the past 1-2 years (to try to attract readers).
