U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

Fuck El Tri and their fans, getting embarrassed on the field (again) so they goon it up and bait the US into two dump reds.

Dest and Mckennie have to be smarter, though. I get wanting to defend your teammates (or yourself), but now you’ve hung the team out to dry in the finals.

The only thing that would’ve made Mexico embarrassing themselves time after time after time after time after time after time (I think you get it), would’ve been to actually have that game be played on Fox or ESPN for even more people to see. Even the Univision Spanish announcers were going in on them and their fans. Hate to see it. But maybe we’ve evolved into the Tres a Cero era. I’m here for it. Balogun didn’t make a big impact on the game, but the speed of the front three tonight was on full display. Pulisic put in a masterful performance, really hope he’s on his way to AC Milan. Him and Leão up top for them could be pretty nasty.

For all you strategists, what is the likelihood Burhalter keeps the formation we played with last night? I, for one, loved it.

I felt like we spent a lot of time around or in Mexico's box. Cap should have tallied a hat trick nonetheless we applied plenty of pressure. My gut tells me he goes back to 4-3-3 with his MMA midfield.
