U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

I mean, our best under-23 are making way bigger waves with the top team but still. I would think our next tier could certainly do better than this performance. Oh well.

It was the intensity through these games that is disappointing, and especially the lack of urgency defending...

I mean I pointed out the vines thing, doing the grab ass shit from behind instead of putting his head dow and getting back into the play, my kid is watching, having some perogies, and sees it, and looks at my face...

She knows she pulls that shit, its a quiet ride home...

And she's a goddamn wing, not a defender.

Christian Pulisic makes American soccer history in Chelsea's Champions League final win

American soccer star Christian Pulisic made history twice on Saturday. The Chelsea winger became the first ever American man to play in a UEFA Champions League final, as the Blues beat Manchester City, 1-0, to capture the UCL crown at the Estadio do Dragao. Puliisc's appearance was a monumental moment for soccer in the United States, and he also became the second American men's player to win the Champions League.

Pulisic became the first American man to score in the Champions League semifinals when he grabbed a goal at Real Madrid in their semifinal first leg last month. Pulisic was one of two Americans on UCL final rosters, with Manchester City's backup goalkeeper being USMNT's No. 1, Zack Steffen.

Pulisic was able to celebrate Chelsea's win with his parents, who made the trip to Portugal. And he broke out a USMNT sweatshirt while he soaked in the title.

Less than stellar result against Switzerland.

Some pretty sloppy defending... I think its going to be hard to let Dest does best without Tyler Adams on the field. When Brooks went out it got scarier.

Is anyone out there still writing in their USMNT lineups without Sebastian Lletget in them? You can probably stop. He and Berhalter are 100% on the same wavelength and it impacts the game.

This is a JMHO thing and we will see how it plays out going forward sooner than later, but if Sargent and Siebatcheu want minutes at the 9 they're just going to have to show more. Sargent is just doing stuff we know Zardes can do (probably better) and you have to feel like Dike is the other option if you want big speed up top, don't you? (Altidore isnt on the nations cup roster and apparently not even training with Toronto)

I’ve been out of the loop the last 2-3 weeks in the soccer world (trip to Kentucky Bourbon Trail, an engagement, a long Memorial/Indy 500 party weekend and the supply chain industry being on fire will do that).

Looks like the Yanks play tonight so I’ll get my primer on what’s new. I did see Dike didn’t stay on loan or get picked up by Barnsley? Surprising but hopeful he lands somewhere above Orlando. Agree with AKAK that’s your next Altidore (who should be thanked for his time but phased out at this point).

Well, don't look at the Google lineups to learn more.
