Tyson Gentry (Official Thread)

This article was also posted in the Kurt Coleman thread, but it deserves to be here as well. This tells me everything I need to know about what the type of people that are in the Gentry family.

Eight days after Tyson?s injury, Kurt visited him at the OSU Medical Center. He took along his best friend from high school for support.

"I was nervous," Kurt said. "My palms were sweating. I didn't know what to expect."

The teammates had never spoken to each other before because Kurt had been at Ohio State only three months since graduating early from Northmont High School in Clayton.

"I could tell he felt bad," Tyson said. "My main concern was to make sure he didn't feel that I was mad at him."

Tyson and his family calmed Kurt's fears with assurances of no ill feelings.

That is a great story! I saw on Fox45 news that Tyson has been doing very well in medicare training and that he is getting stronger everyday. He can work a lot better with his hands now. He is in Glendale with the team and is at practice everyday. He is not treated any differently than the others. It is very nice to hear he is getting better!

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Tyson Gentry's dream of being on the sideline when Ohio State plays for a national championship will come true on Monday night -- only with a cruel twist. Gentry, a walk-on wide receiver and punter, landed awkwardly while trying to catch a pass during a spring practice. There was almost no contact on the play, yet the skinny kid in the No. 24 jersey didn't get up.
