TX QB Colt McCoy (Cleveland Browns)

Wasn't it UCF that gave Texas a challenge in 2007 on the road?
they won 10 games in 07, compared to 4 in 08. Losing the season finale at home vs UAB 0-15 (all FGs) isn't a great sign for their momentum this offseason.
I would normally agree about playing these "pansies" so to speak in the non-conference, but look at Florida. Outside of Florida State next year, we aren't challenged.
and 04, 05, 06... then there's the topic of what caliber of program FSU is these days

I'm sure they'll still find a way to insult somebody by not inviting them

Well, when Beanie changes his mind about the draft and comes back, he should definitely be in New York for the presentation.

Man, if only they would've scored one TD they could have won that game 7-15.

That schedule is pretty sad. At one point in 2006, we had Arkansas and Utah on the schedule for this year, but they both backed out for different reasons.

Utah decided they were too good for the 2 for 1 deal we had with them. They're only doing 1-1 series now. I guess I can't blame them given their performance over the last 5 years.

Arkansas backed out because they wanted in on a neutral site game with Texas A&M at JerryWorld, the new Cowboys stadium. That was strange considering they gave up a home game against us for it.

At least our guys get to see Laramie, Wyoming this year.

I respect cross-eyed Bradford and his decision to come back, bit I don't think there's any way he repeats what he did this year, even with Gresham and Murray coming back. They're losing almost their entire offensive. Bradford almost never got pressured with his very good line and their ability to get away with lots of holding. He'll end up really hurting himself financially. He would've gone top 10 in the draft this year, who knows next year. But good for him, I guess life is more about money for some folks. Anyway, I'm sure he'll be a finalist but I don't think there's any way he wins it.

Colt's stats thus far: 103/145 for 1145 yards, 9 TD, 5 INT, 4 sacks.

Passing efficiency rating: 150.96

Completion Percentage: 71%

Up till the 4th game last year, the stats were, 80/100 for 1018 yards, 14TD, 1 INT, 2 sacks.

Completion Percentage: 80%

He's got to reduce the interceptions. I hope to see some good stats from him against Colorado on October 10th. October 3rd is a bye week for UT.

Through the year, the corresponding numbers were, 332/433 for 3859 yards, 34 TD, 8 INT, 24 sacks

Passing efficiency rating: 173.75

Completion Percentage: 76.7%

Go Colt! Win the Heisman! Keep Archie's record alive!

I don't think we even have to root for Colt anymore. Bradford is done and it looks like Tebow might follow.
Given Meyer's quote saying Tebow might return for LSU, though he might just be playing it close to the vest, color me worried still.

edit: I wish Beanie would've returned. What a difference he would've made in the USC game, and he might be the frontrunner now.
