Some intel on Texas-based OL targets from the Texas site:

Ohio State and SMU are making the biggest push for him right now, with Texas still in the mix. This decision will come down to where his heart tells him to go, and Texas will need to stay aggressive if they want to secure his commitment.

"After Coach Frye left I figured I was out on Ohio State," Krempin said. "But they’ve really turned it up the past two weeks and we have had some really good conversations."

Those conversations have been, primarily, with new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen. However, the addition of Charlie Dickey has also paid dividends for Ohio State. Dickey was recruiting Krempin while he was the offensive line coach at Oklahoma State and has a strong existing relationship.

"It's been really good," he said. "I’m excited because I didn’t see this coming at all. My interest that is. Plus, Coach Dickey getting hired really kind of made the decision to visit even easier."

Lived in Dallas during SMU's 'Pony Express' days. Right before SMU got caught twice (can't deter those Texas alums), and suffered the Death Penalty. Laugh because now that's all legal and nice. SMU's a very nice campus (went to many a concert there), and alums are well-heeled. Will be a tough contest, and bet Uni of Texas gets involved as well.

Oh it'll be a battle to get this kid out of Texas.
