Some intel on Texas-based OL targets from the Texas site:

Drew Evers:

As of now, I feel Texas trails behind schools like Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Penn State in his recruitment. However, Texas is set to receive an official visit, and we’ve seen time and time again that when Texas rolls out the red carpet, anything can happen.

Coveted 6-Foot-3 Star Sends Strong Message on Ohio State Football

A four-star 2026 offensive lineman visited the Ohio State Buckeyes during the final weekend of March. It sounds as though the visit couldn't have gone much better.

Highly-touted offensive lineman Drew Evers raved about his time with the Buckeyes while speaking to On3 on Tuesday.

“I feel fantastic about Ohio State,” Evers told On3. “They are one of my top three schools right now.”

“What stands out to me about Ohio State is the fact that they have made it clear how much of a priority I am to them,” Evers added. “I like the attention to detail that their players have and the engagement and energy of everyone in the building.”

The visit was Evers' second with the Buckeyes. Evers will return to Columbus for an official visit from June 6-8.

On3's Chad Simmons wrote Evers also plans to have an official visit with the SMU Mustangs, Penn State Nittany Lions and Texas A&M Aggies.

2026 OL Drew Evers includes the Buckeyes in his top six schools

Ohio State is firmly in the mix for four-star interior offensive lineman Drew Evers from Flower Mound (TX). The Buckeyes are joined in his top six by Penn State, SMU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and LSU.

Evers is ranked as the No. 13 interior offensive lineman and the No. 208 overall player in the country, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He also ranks as the No. 27 player in the state of Texas. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound prospect holds nearly 40 offers.

Ohio State is set to host Evers for an official visit on June 6, and he will visit Penn State the following weekend. Offensive line coach Tyler Bowen is making a strong push to land Evers as part of the Buckeyes’ 2026 class. Ohio State is off to a strong class with the offensive line led by in-state recruits Maxwell Riley and Sam Greer.

It’s worth noting that Drew’s brother, Nick Evers, originally committed to Oklahoma out of high school before transferring to UConn. Ohio State remains a serious contender in Drew’s recruitment, and his upcoming official visit could be a pivotal moment.
