Sanchez's Dad chimed in on Birm's show yesterday which shows their interest in the good guys. Rumor is that it's down to Bama and Ohio State at this point. Definitely want.
That's definitely great to hear, must have had a great experience at our camp. Was there any prior connection to OSU/Ohio for Sanchez, or was it just offered and then built a relationship? Just curious, Bama is always tough to beat out for the elite OOS DB's.

I don't know anything other than some brief comments made by Birm's and Andrew Ellis and something I read on another site. FWIW its sounds like the Sanchez family is pretty high on the good guys.

Gotcha, just was thinking Peoples had Ohio ties and that helped. Perhaps Simpson-Hunt, Pierce and Peoples can help out trying to get Devin to Columbus. I was about to say that TX recruiting has died down since UFM, but looking back we've plucked some top guys out of there lately (Donovan Jackson, Ewers for the briefest of moments, Abor, CSH, Pierce and Peoples). Must have pretty good contacts down there still, hopefully Sanchez adds to those list of names.

Actually, just found out that Sanchez uncle and Eliano were teammates at Stephen F. Austin. So a bit of a family connection.

And it’d be great on a next visit to OSU by Sanchez, Okudah just so happens to be there. Like Chase Young was for Dylan Stewart

OHIO STATE IS THE EARLY “LEADER” FOR FIVE-STAR CORNERBACK DEVIN SANCHEZ

In a recent interview with 247Sports, Sanchez said Ohio State is the “leader” for him as of now, with Alabama trailing close behind.

"They are a top contender on my list right now," he told 247Sports. "Ohio State is the leader, but 'Bama is right behind them. It's so close right now, but Ohio State is a little bit ahead."
