McNeal Decides On Three Official Visits
On Wednesday Mesquite (Texas) Poteet athlete DeAndre McNeal came out with his top three of Miami, UCLA and Oklahoma State. He has not worked out the exact dates, but says he will make official visits to all three. McNeal is also interested in making an official visit to Ohio State.

“I still have to get my other two official visits,” McNeal said. “I would probably get up to Ohio State when (teammate) Malik (Jefferson) makes his official visit there.”

Jefferson is expected to visit Ohio State the weekend of Nov. 1 when the Buckeyes host Illinois.

McNeal says his scholarship offer list is now up to 37 and includes the schools mentioned as well as Alabama, Texas, Texas Tech and Auburn.

McNeal is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 44 athlete and the No. 62 prospect in Texas.

McNeal’s Crystal Ball currently has 24 predictions with 46% to Alabama, 38% to Ohio State, and 17% to Texas Tech.

Texas indefinitely suspends four-star 2015 WR DeAndre McNeal

Texas lost Ryan Newsome to transfer earlier this year, with the wide receiver ultimately landing at Arizona State. Once again, the Longhorns’ receiving corps has seen attrition, although this one is temporary. Maybe.

UT officials confirmed Wednesday that DeAndre McNeal has been suspended by head coach Charlie Strong. The only reason given was a violation of unspecified team rules.
