Turn your clocks this weekend...(Daylight Saving)

This couldn't of happened on a weekend that I have off? Getting up at 4:30 sucks to begin with....let alone losing an hour of sleep

I guess I'll just have to move my alarm clock up an hour tomorrow night.

Glad Hawaii doesn't play that DST shiznit...

I thought I had read that with Bush changing DST last year, he had also forced those states that abstain to conform? Now, I can't find the article or information though. Hm. I wonder why that incorrect factoid was stuck in my head.

Indirectly, Hawaii and the other areas that opt out are effected however, largely only with communication issues with the mainland. *shrug*

It would be totally fucking stupid to mandate Hawaii to follow DST because there simply is no reason for it. The differences between sunrise/sunset times throughout the year is an hour and a half or less. For Mililani, the latest sunrise is 7:12 am for about 10 days in mid-January, and the earliest is 5:49 am in the end of May into early June, a difference of 1 hour and 23 minutes. The latest sunset is 7:18 pm from the end of June into early July and the earliest sunset is 5:48 pm from late Nov into early Dec, a difference of exactly an hour and a half. The only folks that would welcome an earlier sunrise are the "Dawn Patrol" surfers...
