Head Coach
I know it sucks, but just gotta be happy with wins from week to week.
Lots to be disappointed about, but gotta go with some positives so I don't have to look into the darkest corner of my room:
1. We now see a much more balanced offense with the superstar potential of Henderson. Teams will have to fear that.
2. Egbuka is doing really well on KR. He will break one eventually.
3. The defense still sucks, but look, we saw a lot more stunting, more blitzes, more zone, and turnovers. There was also a little juice. Guys with active hands and going for it. This defense won't improve very much overnight, but I actually like what I saw today just because I think they can actually build on it.
• We also see guys like Martinez and Williams emerging as contributors.
• The CBs are really good
This team is stumbling through the woods blindfolded right now. Maybe they're a 9-4 team. But I also think that we might be seeing a foundation being laid for a really good team. Can't blame anyone for thinking I'm kidding myself. But there was deliberate play calling to send a message to the OL and RBs and a much better approach on defense, even if there were a lot of busts.
Now, do they keep stumbling around or can they take off the blindfold and build on the concepts they used in this game?
