One would think that getting a huge influx of recruits over a weekend (8 or whatever it was) and still being behind the team you claim to be beating in the recruiting rankings would give one pause but then again, DFBIA gonna DFBIA.

In the one sport where regular season performance matters - football - the Weasels haven't had a conference title since 2004 (still lost to Ohio State that year), and haven't even come close to a national championship in over two decades.

But make them one of 64 teams, give them a favorable draw and some skewed officiating, and they luck their way into the championship picture. And then they choke, gloriously.

Harbaugh's newest marketing gimmick. Tell all your three-star recruits to hold off committing until the week after your BBQ, then make huge recruiting news when your class miraculously jumps from #26 to #5 in the country.

Too bad for Harbaugh that recruiting momentum means nothing in June. In December, when it matters, the Weasels will be back in the mid-teens as the big boys pass them by.
