Justin Fields has something that 99.9% of scUM students don't have....

An offer from Harvard.

Well, yeah but, but, he wasn’t the one who sat at the desk or did the work in high school. He probably took his high school courses online because he doesn’t have the ambition to go to class on a cold day.

They are so full of shit. On a personal note, I've gotten to know a prominent former Buckeye and his wife who live in Chicago. Their kid was a Buckeye and did a couple of years in the NFL. He's back in Columbus working in tech venture capital. That's not a job that a guy gets gifted because he's a former player that the bosses want to show off, commercial real estate perhaps but not VC. You get that kind of job because you're smart and took advantage of the education you were offered.

I, however, do know that we bring in a lot of kids who'd never be admitted as regular students, and I know that we give them a chance to succeed academically in a Sports Management major. tsun does the exact same god damned thing. It's just that they're too pompous and pretentious and precious to admit it. That's exactly why they refused to release football player average ACT scores to the Toledo Blade. They know that their tired act is all bullshit. A Potemkin facade of pretentious bullshit. I really hope that Saban breaks off a beer bottle in their ass. Roll Tide.

A few other things to consider.

Justin Fields had a 29 on his ACT (1 point lower than the Ohio State average), so he'd certainly get in as a regular student), but he also had offers from frickin' Harvard and Yale.

When Josh Rosen made some comments about the subject, the football SAT scores for every PAC school were published. At Stanford, they were in the mid 1000 range, so almost 300 points lower than an average Ohio State freshman.

The Northwestern QB who led that union fight stated numerous times that he wouldn't have sniffed an admission to Northwestern had he not been a football recruit.

So, this notion that Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Northwestern all, to some degree, make admissions exceptions for football recruits, but the university of fucking michigan doesn't is ludicrous and their constant whining about it truly speaks to why they are The Dumbest Fanbase In America.

I'm just looking for that one Alabama fan in Orlando capable of stepping up to his program's longstanding tradition of grestness.

I guess they're not aware that tsun claims Phelps' gold medals among the tsun athlete totals. Now that's pathetic.

EDIT: I thought that thread was the one where they were whining about us selling Lebron basketball jerseys.

In a sea of stupid, comes this accidental gold:
There has to be some kind of gift process in the NCAA bylaws... think of the swag bags for bowl games; that stuff can get pricey. Also, the gold pants ohio gets every year, championship rings, and even "program win" hats likely go through the compliance department.
You're god damn right "every year".
