I love the fact that the DFBIA has been so awestruck by Patterson and Hill, and to a lesser extent DPJ. Ohio State now has the higher rated QB in Fields over Patterson and the higher rated DB, with Okudah over Hill and at WR, Garrett Wilson and DPJ are very close.

Oh... and then... Ohio State has the higher rated .. umm... everything else. lol.

If OSU wins the next 108 games I wont be satisfied. Fuck. Them
Oh but but but...we NEED Michigan to be good for “the good of the rivalry” and “for the good of the conference” and they have to win a few for things to be “right”...

in the words of Mike Leach...

Fuck that...FUCK THAT...

I hate when people say that crap. Miami won 5 titles in 20 years. How good was the Big East? Florida State finished in the top five 14 years in a row. They won their first 29 ACC games. Clemson has picked up right where Free Shoes fell off. The ACC is still garbage. It's not keeping the Tigers from being great.

Other than current Bama, tip of the cap to them, almost all CFB "dynasty" runs were from teams in weak conferences.

That's what kind of baffles me about how popular CFB remains. If I'm a fan(or alum) of schools like IU, Oregon St, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, etc, you have to know that you have not a chance on earth of winning an NC, or even a conference title, and might be relevant nationally once in a blue moon. No parity in college sports.
Hairball is digging scUM into a ditch there may be no way of getting out of if he loses yet again to OSU(more than likely), and MSU(also possible), and has another season where he finishes 3 or 4 in the B1G east and then bolts for the NFL.

That would absolutely break a lot of hearts around here...

So what exactly is the problem with your scenario?

Give you all something to chew on. It is highly unlikely OSU has the best available option at Head Coach. How was Florida when Meyer left? .

Day will have a fine 2019 season because OSU is loaded. I would win 10 games with that talent. Yes, a nobody armchair QB can win 10 games in Columbus next year. I am saying it here. Day will be the first coach to lose to Michigan in forever and that one loss will plant a HUGE M Flag of doubt in the brains of all the goobers in Ohio. Trust me, Day was not OSU's best option for HC. They could have got a much more proven and accomplished coach and likely even had a better options on staff.

The irony for Washington (which I hope he stays), if he leaves, he will be part of the beginning of the end of OSU dominance. Meyer was/is a generational, meter moving coach. Like him or not (and I don't) the guy is an all time great coach. He should be in the same breath as Bear, Saban, Bo and Woody. Inarguably, more successful than than all of those guys except Saban.

I know, I know, words are just that. Got to prove it on field. Well, as I have stated in previous threads. I am going to Vegas in April and I am making every Michigan prop bet I can find. B1G Champion, CFP appearance, 10 games won, 11 games won, etc. Of course I am betting on Michigan winning it all. Do I really think they will? No. But I damn sure think a lot of the hand wringing you read on these threads and posts are going to look awfully foolish.

[edit] part of the middle paragraph is pretty much spot on, but JFC this guy loves giving money away to vegas

[edit.2] and then he re-ups with this....

you're welcome

Day won't "suck". Never said he would. Saying he will be "fine". But he won't be a Meyer. More like a Cooper.... Not a Mini Cooper, but a John Cooper. As a Michigan fan, having Day stay was one of the best things we could have hoped for. After losing to Michigan for 2 or 3 straight years it will be fun to watch the OSU boards.
