Such a change from his podcast where he said they would beat Ohio State. His reasons were just, “hey, the underdog wins these games sometimes.”

From that to, “just fucking shoot me now.” Priceless.

Some of the comments:
Steve, Steve, Steve. I'm about as maize and blue as they come having grown up the son of Michigan Alum just four blocks from the Stadium on Hutchens. I'm told I attended my first game in the student section at six months of age. My siblings and I, along with my cousins, all attended Michigan just as our parents had. I was at the game in 1969 as a cub scout usher and I'm here to tell you, some fifty years later, Michigan will not be winning this weekend's game.
You’ve got stones Steve. I’ll give you that. I’ve also nearly convinced myself that Michigan will beat Ohio this time too. Trouble is that I felt that way last year, the year before that.....and the year before that.......
Steve Deace, you better be right, or your going to really piss off some OHIO STATE fans. I love your show, but I think your creamin dreamin dude.
The funniest part is that he convinced himself that a game fifty years ago would impact the game today.
The last time you "called your shot" you said Shea Paterson would win the heisman
MICHIGAN is the guy that runs his mouth every year, then gets KO'd with the first punch ‍♂️
Don't quit your day job. Bless your heart.
Steve when chosing your escape from reality 3rd quarter movie this year consider Mr.Rodgers it's beautiful day " Ryan Day" in your neighborhood.
This dude reminds me of a fat Colin cowherd

Let's check with Urban Meyer on this ....

"How do you show respect for a rivalry? You work it every shit day. Not by tee shirts. Not by bullshit."

Ah, yes.. Thanks, Coach.
The way to work the rivalry and 7-0 is the UFM legacy. Thank you Coach. After 2011 we were in danger of losing our way..Urban restored our recruiting, our domination over our rival and a way to go forward without him. RESPECT

Special thanks to KhaLLLLeke Hudson. Comes in sporting a Mattison hoodie. Leaves the game being remembered for jumping offsides and handing Ohio State a TD instead. Here’s to you, KhaLLLLeke. YMSOB.

Mele KhaLLLLeke Maka is Ohio’s way to say Merry Christmas to us.

What a dumb fuck.

Gaige Garcia, RB, #2145 (the coveted dual wrestling/football commitment, mgoblog doesn’t even bother listing him with a position)

So by my count they will likely have seven top 100 players on their entire roster next season.

Meanwhile Ohio State has the following top 100 players in each class:

2020 - 8
2019 - 4
2018 - 12 (not counting Brian Snead)
2017 - 8 (not counting Trevon Grimes, Tate Martell, Isaiah Pryor, Kendall Sheffield)

We are going to lose most of the 2017 top 100 guys early to the draft, but the bottom line, the talent gap is not decreasing and things don’t look like they’re going to get much better for them.
Bumping this so it doesn’t fall off (because it took me awhile to put together ).

I particularly like how the QB whisperer has landed a lower and lower rated QB every single year.

2017 #123
2018 #204
2019 #268
2020 #387

Their RB room looks like it will be decent next year.

They’ll probably be decent at WR although the room will be decimated and they will need to rely on really young talent.

Brand new QB.

Completely revamped OLine with lower rated talent from high rated guys who still weren’t very good... can you imagine what they’ll be throwing out there if Ruiz bails?

They have some decent young talent on the DL that hasn’t proven anything yet (outside of Hutchinson), will be very young, and they have no depth.

The LBs will probably be good, maybe?

Outside of Ambry Thomas (who might bail) and Daxton Hill (who is far from a sure thing given their player development), who do they have back there that looks like they could go toe-to—toe with a good passing game? much less Ohio State’s?

Throw in Don Brown’s scheme for extra humor.

They are in big, big trouble.

A nice story about the Glasgow family on the front page of MGoBlow. A real nice looking family there.

View attachment 23772

Their youngest child, Anna, wanted to follow her brothers to Michigan. But she's interested in studying forensic science, and her father said the school does not offer a program that fits her. So, she's at Indiana University and also attends many of the football games her brothers play.

:slappy::slappy:
They'd be getting death threats if the Walmart Mikes could read that far into the story.

Just to put things in perspective, as bad as the Cooper years were, they lasted 13 years. Our post-Cooper streak has lasted just under 50% longer at 19 years.

Both schools won only two games during their losing years. So our winning percentage against tsun was .167. Their winning percentage from 2001 to present is .105 (.111 if you don't count our vacated win).

The downside to looking at this though is that if Cooper had just managed to break even against them, we would have taken the series lead this year. That, however, has to wait at least seven more years.

I've got a vicious hangover.

Can we stop talking about John Cooper? I just don't want to puke anymore.

Trigger warning for @Jaxbuck

https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/should-we-play-sparty-last-game-year-instead
I am sure this will be violently unpopular with many, but I can't but think we need to come to grips with the fact that playing Ohio State in the last weekend of the year is hurting our program more than helping it. Getting our pants pulled down in front of the whole country during Thanksgiving weekend is no fun, and having that linger into the "postseason" casts a black cloud over the bowl game where we often seem to get de-pantsed again. This can't be helping with recruiting.

What if we moved the OSU game to earlier in the year and moved the Michigan State game to the last weekend? To be honest, I feel they are our true rival now that we can't compete with the OSU machine. I bet MSU would be on-board as they are stuck playing Maryland in front of an empty stadium, no matter how crappy a season they are having their stadium would be filled for the UM game.
Some of them want to quit The Game. Soon they will want to quit the sport. If somehow The Game was moved from end of season, do not replace it with the non rival. Id rather play for illibuck last weekend than always finish vs a non rival.
