Three tough home games and the two roadies are not going to be blow outs.

Saturday night, I saw them play as hard as I've seen them play all year. They looked driven and focused (after sleepwalking to a 21-0 deficit). They almost pulled it off...... But here's the thing. They laid it all out there and gave PSU their absolute best shot. They busted their ass and played about as well as they possibly could......and they still lost. The question now is how do they respond?

DFBIA is thinking the code has been cracked and their offense is now on par with the nation's best. Reality says Notre Dame is a better team than PSU and isn't going to look nearly as inept in the second half as PSU did.

If they hit the eject button on the season, I could see them losing all 5.

Say they don't, at best they are going 3-2 in that stretch. They are going to lose to NoD and Ohio State outright, the Sparty game is going to be a rock fight in all likelihood because Dantonio might be coaching for his job right now, Maryland is an odd duck who I could see going balls to the wall on them and Indiana has the offense to make it interesting.

It's easy to write next week off as a sure "L", but that seems like just the kind of game ND loses...

Same goes for scUM

Well it appears they’ve turned on Don “Greg Robinson” Brown at least :slappy:

... Indiana has the offense to make it interesting.

In the B1G conference, Indiana ranks right behind TTUN in Scoring Defense and two spots back in Total Defense. They are giving up less than 2 points and 14 yards more than the “vaunted” ugly helmet defense.

And Indiana has faced Ohio State’s offense. TTUN hasn’t.

I’d say “do the math”, but even I am not that spreadsheet-dependent.

Indiana has the offense AND the defense to make their game (immediately preceding The Game) interesting.

I would not be at all surprised if Indiana beats TTUN, not because they have better talent, because they may well have a better team.

Yeah, agreed. Could see that game go either way. Indiana has the unique ability to be serviceable or terrible.

I love watching Don Brown call a blitz with no safety help and asking a safety to single cover KJ Hamler from the slot. Might as well have put me out there as we have an equal chance at slowing Hamler down. Funny thing is PSU did it again (put Hamler in the slot one-on-one against a safety) for their last touchdown of the game as well (in 2:40 of the video). Safety gave 10 yards of cushion and STILL got burned.

Metellus (#14, the burnt safety) was late getting into position and gave less than a half-assed effort on that play. He was jogging before Hamler even caught the ball.

They blew their offensive wad to the tune of 3.4 YPC.

Explosive!

Still doing the "Ohio" thing I see. Well, I guess is makes sense for them to yearn for the better days when Fat Garbageman was running the show up there.

The best part was that almost everyone on BP called this happening before the game. Don Brown's 1 trick pony defense gets shredded by the slot receiver.

To double the fun though, Cpt. Whitening Strip chimed in after the first time the PSU QB missed the crosser with how incredible it was to see Down Brown adapt his defense and switch the crosser from one safety to the other.

While technically accurate, they did switch, the slot receiver was open from one hash mark to the other. The dipshit PSU QB just missed him.
