Offense is hitting it's stride in it's finest hour.

There is so much to appreciate in these posts.

First of all, I am sure that I'm late to the party, but I didn't realize that those dumbasses created their own acronym for how miserable it is to be Scum fans. BPONE = Black Pit of Negative Expectations.

Then the cherry on top is the lack of self awareness it takes to think that they out of this "Black Pit". They played one half of competent football. They put up some admittedly good numbers - arguably better than PSU. However they still lost the game. But THIS time it means the floodgates are open and they are going to channel the ghosts of Yost and Bo and be relevant again. There's no way that this momentary flash of proficiency will lead to massive disappointment like the dozens and dozens prior.

Big ups to James Franklin for allowing some of that smug confidence to creep back into these simpletons.
It was the best loss in the 141-year history of Michigan football. They have to take some pride in that, don't they?

But not every Michigan Man is buying into the "moral victory" "cusp of greatness" narrative. Our old buddy Steve Deace:

Remaining schedule:

Three tough home games and the two roadies are not going to be blow outs.

Saturday night, I saw them play as hard as I've seen them play all year. They looked driven and focused (after sleepwalking to a 21-0 deficit). They almost pulled it off...... But here's the thing - They laid it all out there and gave PSU their absolute best shot. They busted their ass and played about as well as they possibly could......and they still lost. The question now is how do they respond?

DFBIA is thinking the code has been cracked and their offense is now on par with the nation's best. Reality says Notre Dame is a better team than PSU and isn't going to look nearly as inept in the second half as PSU did.
