I just love the fact that we have kids leaving because they can't see the field. Kids who would be studs up north. They have starters leaving because they can't get out of Dodge fast enough.

They are scraping the bottom of the barrel for excuses. I know football players get in with lower standards than the general student population (just like everywhere else), but have we even had an egregious kid barely squeezers in under the NCAA guidelines in a while? Having trouble thinking of any going back a good number of years.

Just want to (selfishly) reiterate this. AAA is a HUGE deal and a major accomplishment. My sister ran D1 track and field she ranks AAA as her number 1 achievement in her collegiate career. She did a number of things on the track, so her telling me that really opened my eyes to how valued that award is.

Proud to say that I coached Ryan Fitzpatric who went on to jump for Purdue. Ryan was a 4 time AA Big Ten and 2 time AAA. Twice went to the NCAA finals, finishing fifth and seventh and therefore was an AA. Finished with a 3.97 GPA in electrical engineering and now works for GE here in Cincinnati.
