Well in fairness, the 2008 Bucks were favored
It's a little painful to see how bad TP was at QB stuff.

That final drive in the 2008 Wisconsin game was nuts though. TP made some crazy clutch throws. Thought he was going to win us a couple of nattys (probably would've if he received competent QB coaching) over the coming years. Still arguably the most dominant athlete I've ever seen wear S&G on the football field. It's a little painful to see how bad TP was at QB stuff.

I mean I've seen him straight up stiff arm (both power 5 and NFL) DEs to the ground and outrun safeties and corners (one of the Illinois games come to mind). Yeah he'd do some dumb shit but I never said he was the smartest lol. And we never saw him run? How many times did he pick up 3rd and long or 4th and long effortlessly with his legs? I remember it plenty of times. The only reason you never saw him run more was because the offense never demanded it. Dude would've broke all kinds of records in Urban's offense.Serious question. What was he really dominant at? His best assets were his size and that he had long strides so he covered a lot of ground quickly. He rarely used his size to his advantage bc he would shy away from contact. He took some of the worst sacks at the worst possible times. He rarely got lose in open field to show his true speed. He ran like a gazelle but we didn't see it much in his time at OSU. He wasn't a very accurate passer and don't believe the arm strength was elite either. He didn't have great shake, he rarely made anyone miss. So guess I'm missing "the most dominant" athlete part bc what I saw on HS film didn't translate to when he wore the S&G. Some may share a different opinion, that's just mine.
TP was cursed with having the wrong coach for his talents. Tressel wasn't an offensive mind like Meyer or Day, and CFB was in its infancy days of the spread and zone read being used by elite teams(it was more of a small school gimmick to keep up with the big boys). Pryor's passing ability did get better each year he was the OSU QB. But I think his ego and Tressel's coddling also did him no favors off of the field...Serious question. As long as they have guys like Metellus, I like our chances.

Braxton was remembered and had a career(sans arm injury and switch to WR) that TP was supposed to have. I think many of us remember TP as a "what could've been" case, because I truly believe that if Tat-gate never happened, you would've seen an offensive explosion and one of the most dominant CFB teams
