It's so understated that they literally went to schools, showed them how this new football game was played for like an hour, kicked their asses, and then counted it as a win.
FIFY
As a reminder;
Denard Robinson "throwing" out a first pitch
I give you sister Mary Jo Sobieck
Ha - is that true? I thought that was a joke.
I don't know how to add BN's post where JW added that Xichigan used to go to high schools...
That part, I know, is true, at least once. And they don't hide it.

Ann Arbor H.S.
I don't see any more that say "H.S." But I see a lot of names I don't recognize and a lot that end with "Club".
This is essentially how they won all those games back in the 19th century:

Starts with them saying their best record of wins in a 4-year span (44) isn't as good as Ohio State's (50). Conversation runs around a little. Then this guy tries to be smart:
Let's see who Michigan played in those 46 games:
Albion (3)
Case (4)
Michigan Agricultural
Oberlin (3)
Beloit
Ohio Normal (WTF??)
Ferris Institute
Drake (3)
Ohio Northern (2)
Kalamazoo (2)
Physicians & Surgeons
American Medical School
Ohio Wesleyan
24 of their 46 games (52%) against - are some of those high schools? In all fairness, that still gives them a 20-1-1 record (0.938) - still better than Ohio State's.
I'm guessing that some of those teams didn't have a team until Michigan showed up and asked if they could play a game.
20some years before Penicillin
So penicillin cured the disease....

Winningest football program in CFB history, my ass!
Damn, that highlights overall wins, winning percentage ... and reading between the lines doubles down on how they've built their entire mythology on beating up little sisters of the poor.
87 more games against current DIA schools.
And I have this sneaking suspicion they started playing football before Ohio State too?
And fuck them."football" in the sense of the game that was played in the late 19th century? yes.
For more historical fun, the first forward pass in college football occurred in 1906, making it more recent than 4 of tsun 10.5* claimed national championships.
2018 also marks the 70th anniversary of tsun last full national championship earned of course in 1948.
The season was 70 years ago, allow for a kid being at least 10 to remember it so I can safely say no one in the US under the age of 80 has living memory of tsun winning an undisputed National Championship.
Only 17% of the US population is 80 or older
