Patterson is a good QB, and definitely an upgrade over anybody they have right now. But, until they develop some OL that can actually be functional in pass pro, I'm not sure how much difference any QB is going to make.

I'll take "SEC SEC SEC" if it's at scUM's expense. However, I think the likelihood of that is very, very small. USCe is terrible. But the LOLs a Muschamp victory over Simple Jim would be glorious.

I hope they lose but a scUM win would bring some laughs from the cretins on their forums. You know they'd be seriously bragging about it, claiming how this is a precursor to Harbaugh bringing in dominance, next year is "definitely their year!" and various other hilarities.

Chalk this one up to human or computer error.

The betting line for South Carolina vs. Michigan in the Outback Bowl has changed ... because it was entered incorrectly in the first place.

It’s Michigan that’s a 9.5-point favorite in the New Year’s Day game, the Las Vegas Insider showed Monday morning on its website. The line was originally posted with USC as the favorite. Now the Gamecocks are underdogs.

The Gamecocks are 8-4, same as the Wolverines. Michigan lost to four teams that were 9-3 or better, including three in New Year’s Six bowls (Penn State, Ohio State, Wisconsin).

USC is 7-4-1 against the spread in 2017. Michigan is 5-6-1.

It wasn’t the only technical glitch of the day. ESPN flashed an Outback Bowl graphic that showed Michigan but the wrong opponent and date for the game.

The Outback Bowl is played at noon Monday, Jan. 1, on ESPN2. South Carolina will be making its fifth trip to the Outback Bowl. The Gamecocks are 3-1 in the game.

The Gamecocks have won five of their last seven games heading into the bowl game and already have more wins in a season than they have had since 2013.

Marcus Spears said yesterday that a "January bowl" game was a real thing that TTUN could hang their hat on during recruiting battles against Sparty, who are going to the "lesser" Holiday bowl in December.

Of course he also called the Outback a "New Year's Six" bowl game and said "Mike Dantonio", so maybe he's not the guy with a finger on the pulse of what's happening in that state up north.

The Holiday Bowl and Outback Bowl are basically equal. Only difference being Michigan State is ranked and so is Wazzu........scUM is unranked and playing another unranked scrub.

"January Bowl Game" big deal. So scUMs bowl is better than ours because ours is in December and theirs is in January is basically the logic there.
