Getting Gary bigger then the player himself.

I wanted to wait until Gary signed before posting this for obvious reasons. But IMO, even though Gary is an elite talent, I believe his signing with U-M is bigger then getting the player. I don't think we've ever gotten the overall #1 recruit ever. At least not since I've been a Michigan fan(early 80's). Harbaugh just got that player in his 1st FULL recruiting cycle. We went toe-to-toe with the big guns and won by decision. We beat teams that have either won(multiple) the National Championship game or have been to the NC game. This sends an immediate signal to everyone that U-M football is back on the rise even to the biggest skeptics and our rival(s) and much faster then anyone(even for most of us U-M fans) could have imagined. It reaffirms that whatever Harbaugh is doing, no matter how quirky or controversial it may seem, works for him. The 2017, 2018, etc recruiting classes are now on notice. Don't think for a second that when recruits see the #1 overall player go to a school, they don't get more interest in that school...not that Michigan needs it.

I know this sounds corny, but I feel it was destiny for Harbaugh to come back to Michigan. Too many things had to go right for it to happen but it all went right. Let's face it, the program NEEDED him. I'm not sure if there is any other coach that could have changed this program the way he did. Not only has he brought back the caliber of football we all have been waiting for, but he's united the fans, the alumni, hell, even celebrities. And this is just the beginning.

I love all my state of Michigan teams. Pistons. Tigers. Redwings. And yes, even the Lions. But Michigan football has always been my #1 and it always will be. GO BLUE!

Keep getting your hopes up you dumb bastards, it's worked out so well for you over the past almost two decades.

As an Ohio State fan with the best coach in the country, the best talent in the country, coming off a national title two years ago and what should have been a repeat last year, I am cautiously optimistic about the future.

For Michigan fans, they have a coach with certifiable mental health issues (I apologize if that's an offensive way to describe autism) who will be leaving for the NFL in the near future, massive talent deficiencies across their entire roster, the worst on field performance in the history of their program over the last decade and half of a national title they paid for via Charles Woodson in the last century... and yet they feel it is their destiny to dominate college football because they hired some kids HS head coach to land one player with a psychopath helicopter mom that is more than likely going to be a major problem to keep happy?

Dumbest fan base in America.

Really? All this and a helicopter mom? Well, she's bound to provide a ton of comic relief along the way. Can't wait until she gets unhappy with the hairball's handling of her precious. Does she have a public twitter & facebook account?
