Snatched a big one away from the likes of Army, Georgetown, UMass and Penn (that's the University of Pennsylvania, not Penn State) today.

I really don’t understand their recruiting method this cycle.
It seems like it goes back to the observation of their overall “strategy” or lack thereof.

Wiltfong (I think, one of the national guys) pointed out that evaluating and offering players is really left up to the position coaches without an overall strategy or plan for the class.

It seems very clear this impacts their ability to prioritize how they handle the timing of offers for their Plan A, Plan B, or Plan C guys ... without a central strategy they might not even have those tiers identified.

Plus their staff is garbage and not very good at recruiting in the first place.

Plus I wouldn’t put it part Harbaugh, in his infinite awkwardness, to put pressure on his coaches to gain some recruiting momentum via commitments without giving any specific guidance on how to do that - think #MobMove only getting worse every year because they lost their noted recruiting aces (who managed to make last year’s move mostly mediocre).

It’s fun to watch.

All kidding aside, this ^

There's no structure, no plan, nothing. The harbrau is collecting a paycheck. Maybe this is his long con for not being allowed to major in history.

When this is your recruiting director...

...you're gonna have problems. Then you compound it with old geezers like Shoop and Brown who don't even care plus Captain Aspergers, you're gonna end up with nobodies from Massachusetts
