ttun basketball (Juwan out, Dusty May in)

Michigan has 3 of ESPN top 100 in this class. The future looks pretty good for Basketball.

From what I have been hearing Smotrycz is really going to be a player this year. If NBA comes back next year my guess is Hardaway Jr. will head to the NBA.

Looking at this years line up

Burke PG
Hardaway SG
Horford F
Morgan C
Smotrycz F

We have a nice Bench also, we should be able to play with anyone.

That's the disappointing part if Sully leaves after this year. Would have loved to have seen him destroy McGary in the post.

Let's just hope David Stern fucks himself over so bad that the NBA never comes back and these guys stick around to get their degree's.

Smortrycz was the slowest undersized forward I've seen on the college level in quite some time last year. Although he was a streaky shooter, I can't think of anything he brings to the table.

I feel like Darius Morris made the guys around him a lot better, so it'll be interesting to see how these guys create on their own this year. There were also times I watched where everyone on UM stood and let Darius do everything offensively.

I felt the second have of the season Morris was a big difference, but I think Burke is going to be a better fit in Michigan's offense.

Smotrycz has put on some weight and has done a ton of hard work. I believe he is going to shock some people this year.

I can't even pretend to be intimidated by that lineup.

exactly

Wake me up when Beilein starts recruiting good shooters for his "you win with volume" offense.

Recruiting players good at other things doesn't really concern me because his scheme will mitigate their strengths and augment their weaknesses.

Sounds like Bruce Webber and the Fighting Carrot Sticks.

ugh, that was devastating.....and it was Mike Harts fault for being in attendance.........

I've read McGary as being compared to David Lee, but with better defensive skills. Just sucks we have to wait an entire season before he arrives.....

Watched film on this kid today. He's nothing like David Lee, in fact quite the opposite. He plays flat footed and will struggle against similarly sized athletes. Good footwork, but slow off his feet. Nice touch and good hands for a big man. Should have a solid college career, but will struggle at the next level. Reminds me a little bit of a left handed Cherokee Parks out of HS.
