Morris has a good ability to beat his man one-on-one and get to the hoop, although his ability to finish is questionable. And his jumpshot is dreadful. If I were the coach of an opposing team, I would tell the player defending him to give him plenty of room to keep him from driving and to make him take jumpshots. Guaranteed he would finish the game 4-15 from the field. The fact that he's even considering jumping to the NBA is, to put it mildly, surprising.
i didn't say he was considering anything. I simply said where he's been projected.

Nice game vs. Wisconsin today - I particularly liked the part where they left Gasser wide-open to bank in a last-second 3-pointer to lose the game by 1. Stu Douglass specializes in letting opponents shoot the winning 3 over him.

Honestly, I have very mixed emotions about this: While I'm generally all in favor of UM suffering, Bucky elation really takes the shine off: Fuck Bucky.

The question is how close is he to his ceiling. He's made a significant leap in his game from last year to this. He has issues though...he can't seem to go to his left for shit and his jump shooting is pretty week. He also tends to get into these situations where he just dribbles around in circles for like 30 seconds and then chucks up an ill-advised jumper. I don't think he has a ton of pro potential, but I'm no expert.

nice rebound game vs Minnesota today though. Can't complain about that.

Could we see an all-Michigan, all-Big Ten final in the NIT this year?

Wolverine fans must be pretty excited about the possibility of hanging a banner, no?

i don't which is better. winning the NIT, or getting bounced in the first round of the Big Dance. At least if you win the NIT you get some extra practices.

If your team is a perennial NCAA tourney team that has a bad year this is a legit question. If they are thinking about changing it to the MIT in your teams honor...not so much.

And lets not pretend there wouldn't be a massive number of neck sprains up north from your fan base diving into a huge daisy chain if you guys somehow made the NCAA tourney. I can hear the predictions of impending B10 domination...young team..etc,etc,etc now. All that would be missing is a strength coach.

Just like 2009?
