word is juwanna hasn't even taken the recruiting test that coaches must pass in order to recruit in person off of campus. if he fails the open-book test, he can't retake the test for another 30 days. kind of an important recruiting period right now, especially for a program needing to restock the cupboard. would be a real shame if he fails.

good thing ttun hired a guy who already had ample experience with and knowledge of the ins and outs of college recruiting rules, right?

Not my intent to point and laugh about this, but Charles Matthews tore his ACL just after the deadline to pull out of the draft. I don't think he wanted to come back, but now he seems to want to change his mind due to the injury.

Edit: I dont think the NBA has approved the NCAA's proposal for letting guys who go undrafted back into college. Maybe he could get an NCAA waiver?

Yeah that one is actually unfortunate.

His agent said there’s still interest in round 2 and he’ll look to sign a 2-way deal (where he can bounce between an NBA and G-League spot with a team while he rehabs). No point to rehab and not get paid at M*ch.

He was never gonna sniff the nba. He was destined for overseas, so not sure if coming back helps him at all.

They literally threw this hire together with only the head name recognition in mind and expecting everything else to fall into place, "because Michigan" (tm).

Then they realized they hired someone that doesn't even have experience scheduling a practice let alone running one on his own. So they went and got a dinosaur (Martelli) to coddle him and teach the basics of college basketball coaching.

Now his other assistant isn't even on a name-to-name basis. :lol:
