ttun basketball (Juwan out, Dusty May in)

Sparty played one of the worst games I've seen from any program in recent memory and yet scUM could still only win by four and was in jeopardy in the final minute. A win over a rival is always great, and they should enjoy it. But, it doesn't show any improvement. MSU would have lost to 95% of America tonight playing like that. If scUM had played smart basketball, they should have won that game by 15+. Sparty is terrible.

scUM finally has a night when they shoot damn near 50% from 3 and still almost barf it up. This is more about how bad Sparty really is this year than scUM being good.

Like I said, they're a [censored]ing stupid basketball team. They were up 9 with three something left in the game. Common sense tells you that you try to run down the clock and take smart shots. Not these idiots. They keep chucking threes. Because of that, sparty grinds it down to a two point game inside of a minute to go in spite of themselves. In one sequence in the last 10:00, sparty turned it over three consecutive times and missed an easy layup. I counted at least three other uncontested bunnies the missed. A decent team does to msu what we did to Purdue Tuesday night. scUM eeks out a win while watching sparty look like Johnelle Smith was coaching them...

*edit to add this:*

...it's just common sense.

yeah, I guess now it's obvious he still wouldn't have had Lebron.

You never know, that meeting between LeBron, Wade, and Bosh could've gone down a lot differently if Izzo had taken the Cavs job.

-- Yo guys, you should come down here to Miami with me where we'll lord over South Beach like rock stars.

-- Nah brah, I just convinced Izzo to come to Cleveland.

-- No shit? Well fuck it, I'll give up all this to live in beautiful downtown Cleveland this winter if Izzo is there!

I'd stop laughing at Michigan if it weren't for the fact that Sparty has fallen apart like a paper suit in a monsoon. Don't know that I've ever seen a collapse like this from such a talented team, and especially one coached by Izzo.

I love to see the Bucks on top, but I'm a big Izzo fan also. Sad to see this season playing out as it is for Sparty.

It's reminiscent of last year's Texas team.

I could not agree more, MI Basketball needs a big man and we need to go inside way more than we do. MSU looked dazed all night, I will take the win. With this team it's all or nothing.

I don't understand why WV coaches seem to be afraid of the middle of playing fields. Our basketball coach never attacks in the middle and RR never did either.

They are afraid of this happening:

One UM fan posted they have only a 2-game losing streak against OSU (3 if you count the Big Ten tourney), just like that with the Big Ten tourney part in parentheses, as if the BTT doesn't count for some reason. Maybe UM fans need a reminder of what happened in the conference tourney last year, or a course on what games count towards win-loss totals.
