Hard to "point and laugh" at a team that came within seven points of a national title when we couldn't even beat Wichita fucking State...

When your team has made 4 straight Sweet 16's and multiple recent FF appearances of their own it is actually quite easy to point and laugh at your rival coming up short in the one good year they've seen during the past 20.

They may as well have lost in the first round, they have shit to show for this year outside of Burke's individual achievements.

OSU has the BTT trophy at least.

Also, OSU tied their series with scUM this season, winning by 3 at home and losing by 2 (in OT) on the road.

This was a 4th-place B1G team that had a nice little tourney run but nothing else to show for their season.

Well, you bitched that people 'called you out' for not being around, and that made you come back. I figured, since you were here I'd call you out for being here hoping that it would keep you away.

How's that donation to buckeye planet looking this year? Plan on contributing? Do you give at church? How much time do you spend there in a week? Lets use that as a gauge. Find the average dollar amount per hour of your church'n. Multiply that by the average number of hours you spend here in a year... An estimate is fine. How bout you cut BP a check for a reasonable amount based on the number you come up with.

uh, no. I pointed out that I never left. Was simply posting in a lot of other threads.

as for the rest, Clarity's message is well received about donating and being part of the community. I regularly give blood at the Red Cross, which is specifically mentioned in his donor message. We also donate to the Wounded Warriors program because I have several uncles who fought in both Gulf Wars. All three dogs we own came from the local Humane Society. So go preach somewhere else, because I may be a Michigan fan, but I still support my local Ohio community, which again, is Clarity's want in his message.

The same team that dominated the national title winners until about 6 minutes left in the game? Yes, they're an unknown......but you cannot deny their quality this year. They proved it in this tournament dominating who they should have dominated, beaten who they could beat, and losing to an eventual champion.

Yes we had a cold night, but that doesn't detract from their ability and what they did to get to the final four.

Wichita. Fucking. State.

Wichita. [censored]ing. State.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but Wichita. [censored]ing. State. gave Louisville, the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, a bigger challenge than Michigan did. Soooooooooooooooooo, therefore Wichita. [censored]ing. State. is better than Michigan, correct? Or maybe Wichita. [censored]ing. State. is a better team than you give them credit for?

SIAP, but GBYBMYMSOB. Sailing, now squash.

http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2012/10/rick_pitino_recalls_how_close.html

?The day that I committed to Louisville, I signed an agreement to be the next head coach of Michigan and I was fired up to be the coach at Michigan," Pitino said. "The athletic director at the time, who?s no longer there (Bill Martin), was playing squash and my wife came up, she just didn?t want me to go to the west coast, UNLV, and be away from the children. She agreed, okay let?s go to Michigan."

Pitino -- a former Kentucky coach -- then explained that his wife called him out for being afraid to go back to the state of Kentucky to coach at Louisville, his old school's arch rival.

She eventually convinced him to change his mind, and due to one of Martin's squash matches, Pitino informed Michigan of his decision via voicemail.

"I tried to call the A.D. at Michigan between 12 and 1," he recalled. "I had a false name. I would give him a fake name and he would call me back. I couldn?t get a hold of him because he was playing squash. The secretary said he demands that he doesn?t get interrupted unless it?s an emergency and if you want you can leave a voicemail.

"I left a voicemail and went to Louisville and I?m really happy I did."

I'm quite aware of how WSU shot their fucking load in a once-in-a-program-history run. Years down the road people will see that The Ohio State University lost an Elite Eight game to Wichita Fucking State, and think, "What the fuck?!"

So does Wichita [censored]ing State.
Even more of a reason that we shouldn't be "pointing and laughing" at a team that accomplished what we ourselves failed to do.

I for one am totally fucking glad--no, estatic--that Michigan didn't win...few people on this board wanted them to lose more than I did. But, there's a big difference in being happy that they lost--and thus not having to put up with pompous Michigan trolls for the next year--and outright mocking them as if they were the shit team they were a few years back.

I'll just flip the bird in the general direction of Ann Arbor, say "Fuck Michigan", and move on.
